Click HERE to access the Selection Sheet. Print this sheet as a reference for setup of Plan B or Plan C. For the Contact information you wish to appear on your website, Click HERE to access an example Contact Information page. Write your Contact Information on the Selection Sheet.

Click HERE to access www.mals-e.com and set up your free e-commerce payment account. This account will be used by your clients to pay for licenses of your images by credit card or paypal.

Scroll down to the bottom of the mals-e page and click on Join up now! Click here...

CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT by filling in the data fields and clicking the JOIN NOW button.

Print out the next page that appears. It has the heading JOIN MAL'S E-COMMERCE and has your Username, Password and the SERVER NAME - IMPORTANT (URL) where your account has been set up on. This information will also be emailed to the address you provided. If you don't like the password you can change it later. The Username and URL will be conveyed to Painet. We will insert them in your shopping carts so that orders on your website go to you. Write the Username and URL on the Selection Sheet you printed out.

Click HERE to return to the mals-e home page.

Login by typing in the Username and Password you were assigned. This will take you to the page where you enter your payment password. The payment password is different from the Admin password. The payment password is the one you use when retreiving credit card and paypal information upon a sale. The Admin password is used to access the Admin area of mals-e.

Once you receive verification of your payment password, click the New password link at the left of the page. You will be taken to a CHANGE PASSWORDS page where you can change your NEW ADMIN LOGIN PASSWORD. Suggestion: Write the payment password and the Admin password change on the mals-e page you printed out.

Once you receive notification of your admin password change, click the Admin home link at the left of the page.

This will take you to the ADMINISTRATION AREA HOME. Here you can change your contact email address. This will be the address that order notifications go to.
If you do not have the wherewithal to fulfill customer orders (e.g. you are a travel stock photographer and work alone) and you select Plan B, Painet will fulfill the order for a 20% fee. In this case, we would provide you a Painet email address (eg. johndoe@painetworks.com), which you would provide to mals-e as the email address to forward orders. The orders would then go to your Painet email address, You would then set up your email software to automatically forward any orders, coming in to your Painet email address, to painet@gondtc.com and we would deliver the image(s) to the customer. We would then invoice you for the fee. You would retain the ability to disable the forwarding of orders to Painet, in the event you are able to fulfill orders yourself.
In the My Admin box at right, click on Show cart. Uncheck the checkboxes Show mTracker and Whats new on login. Click the Update button.

This will take you to the MY ADMIN SETTINGS PAGE. Click Yes to create your shopping cart. On the next page, click the Cart set-up link on the left menu.


SHOPPING CART SET-UP


On the SHOPPING CART SETUP page, we will only instruct you to update necessary features...some will be skipped. You might complete the skipped features at a later time.


Click on the FONT AND ALLIGNMENT link in Cart set-up.
We suggest selecting Verdana as the font; however, this is purely cosmetic. You may want to select your favorite font from the list. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the Update settings button.

Note: Each time you click the Update settings button the page will refresh with the selected settings. You will then have to click the Cart set-up link again to access the next feature. So click Cart set-up again and this will be the last time it will be directed.


Click the LOGO and HEADER MESSAGE link in Cart set-up.
For the HEADER IMAGE you might use the logo you have on your website at Painet. It is located at:

where XXX is your 2 or 3 letter photographer code (in lower case or small letters), without the underscore (_). Click in the text box above and copy (Ctrl-C on PCs, Apple-C on Macs) and paste (Ctrl-V on PCs, Apple-V on Macs) it into the Header Image field. Then replace the XXX with your code, in small letters. Alternatively, you might want to create a special logo and enter it's address. Click the Update Record button at the bottom when finished.


Click the OTHER MESSAGES and GENERAL SETTINGS link in the Cart Set-up.
In the CUSTOMER MESSAGE field we recommend inserting "If you have any special requests"
Check the REMEMBER REPEAT CUSTOMERS box.
In the SHIPPING MESSAGE field, we recommend selecting, copying and pasting the following:

In the TERMS OF BUSINESS field, we recommend selecting, copying and pasting the following:

In the PAYMENTS MESSAGE field, we recommend selecting, copying and pasting the following:

In the EXIT MESSAGES fields, we recommend selecting, copying and pasting the following:
Secure Payments

Change the time zone and appropriate email address.
Unsecure Payments

Change the time zone and appropriate email address.
Click Submit Changes button.


Click the REQUIRED FIELDS link in the Cart Set-up.
We recommend all boxes except for Company box be checked
Click UPDATE RECORD button.


Click the RETURN LINK link in the Cart Set-up.
In Your website's address (without http://), we recommend selecting, copying and pasting the following:

where XXX is your 2 or 3 letter photographer code (in lower case or small letters), without the underscore (_).
In Text for the link., we recommend selecting, copying and pasting the following:

where XXXXX is your website name.
Click Update Record button.


Click the ORDER NOTIFICATIONS link in the Cart Set-up.
Make sure the Contact email address is the one you want. If not, change it in the field provided.
Click Update Email Preferences button.


Click the EMAIL CUSTOMER RECEIPTS link in the Cart Set-up.
Check the field Email a receipt to the customer.
Select the email address you wish to use as the From: address:
For Subject line for the receipt, we recommend selecting, copying and pasting the following:

where XXXXX is your website name.
For A message to appear at the top., we recommend selecting, copying and pasting the following:

Change the time zone, appropriate email address and telephone number.
Check all of the following boxes.
In A message to appear at the foot, we recommend selecting, copying and pasting the following:

Click Update Email Record button.


Click the PAYMENTS link in the Cart Set-up.
If you accept Credit Cards, enter the cards you accept, separated by commas.
If you accept Credit Cards, we recommend checking Allow the customer to edit their Invoice address on card entry
Click Submit Changes button.


Click the PAYPAL link in the Cart Set-up.
If you have a PayPal account, enter your PayPal account email address in the PAYPAL ACCOUNT ID field.
Select the Website Payments Standard option.
In the LOGO FOR PAYPAL field, enter the URL of your PayPal account LOGO(if you have one).
Click UPDATE button.


You are finished with the mals-e setup!!!
